UNLV TRIPPED UP IN BOWL RETURN, 36-14 By Drew Harris, www.heartofdallasbowl.com

DALLAS – It’s certainly been a long road for UNLV. This time, traveling more than 1,200 miles to the Heart of Dallas Bowl
presented by PlainsCapital Bank and a de facto home game for North Texas proved to be too much for a rising Rebel
program, which lost 36-14 on Wednesday afternoon at Cotton Bowl Stadium.

After “moving in” day Saturday, the two schools participating in the fourth annual Heart of Dallas Bowl presented by PlainsCapital Bank will be participating in morning practices before an early afternoon charity event at CitySquare and an “Evening with the Stars” at the end of day at American Airlines Arena.

The fourth annual game will be played New Year’s Day at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium. The University of North Texas will be playing in a bowl game for the first-time since the 2004 season as the Mean Green accepted a bid Sunday to participate in the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl presented by PlainsCapital Bank on New Year’s Day at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium.

 

UNLV NETS HEART OF DALLAS BOWL BERTH - December 8, 2013

UNLV will meet the University of North Texas in the fourth annual Heart of Dallas Bowl presented by PlainsCapital Bank as the Las Vegas-based school accepted a bid to play in the New Year’s Day game at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium.
