- This was the fourth overtime game in program history (the Mean Green are now 2-2)
o Earlier this season, North Texas won 42-35 at Rice in 2OT on 9/24)
- Senior QB Alec Morris connected with junior WR Turner Smiley for a 22-yard pass play on the first offensive play of the game for the Mean Green
- Junior RB Jeffery Wilson scored his 14th rushing touchdown of the season, on a 22-yard scamper in the first quarter
o That rushing score moved him into sole possession of fourth place in school history for single-season rushing TDs

o Bussey, Jr. also made his first career TD catch with 10 seconds remaining in the half to pull the Mean Green within three on a 27-yard catch on 3rd and 11
- Senior QB Alec Morris threw his first TD pass of the game late in the second quarter on a 22-yard screen to junior RB Jeffery Wilson for his first receiving TD of the season
o Morris has thrown for at least two touchdowns in each of his four starts this season
o Morris set a new single-game career-high with his third TD pass of the game late in the third quarter to freshman WR Tyler Wilson
o The TD catch for Wilson is his second of the season, and of his career
- Senior punter Eric Keena’s fake punt completion of 10 yards to senior WR Kenny Buyers in the third quarter made the Mean Green a perfect 3-for-3 on fake punts this season
- Junior K Trevor Moore has now made 99 consecutive extra points, extending his own school record after going 4-for-4 today
o Moore also improved to 9-for-13 on field goals after a 37-yard FG with 0:28 left in the 4th quarter to tie things at 31-31
- Seven different Mean Green receivers caught passes on Tuesday
- Freshman WR Tyler Wilson had a career-high five catches for 81 yards and a score (previous high was two for 17 yards vs. Marshall on Oct. 8
